These wonderful musicians (including Nicholas Daniel OBE who won the BBC Young Musician of the Year competition in 1980 and has since become one of the world’s most famous woodwind players) will bring a varied and delightful programme of music. The Mozart and Schubert Oboe Quartet arrangements have all the beauty of the original string quartets; the less frequently heard cor anglais on which Nicholas Daniel is equally outstanding features in two of the works; and the Sønderho Bridal Trilogy is based on enchanting traditional Nordic folk music.
